Introit (Sermon Text) - Psalm 102:1-2,12; antiphon Isaiah 53:4a,5a,6a,c: Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. He was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities. All we like sheep have gone astray; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Hear my prayer, O Lord; let my cry come to you! Do not hide your face from me in the day of my distress! Incline your ear to me; answer me speedily in the day when I call! But you, O Lord, are enthroned forever; you are remembered throughout all generations. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; All we like sheep have gone astray; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? All who see me mock me; they make mouths at me; they wag their heads;“He trusts in the Lord; let Him deliver him; let Him rescue him, for he delights in Him!”Be not far from me, for trouble is near, and there is none to help. But you, O Lord, do not be far off! I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!” Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! May they be secure who love you! For my brothers and companions’ sake I will say, “Peace be within you! Old Testament: Exodus 8:16-24
Introit: My eyes are ever towards the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. O my God, in you I trust: let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exalt over me. The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of distresses. Consider my afflictions and my trouble, and forgive all my sins. O guard my soul, and deliver me! Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. Glory be to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now and will be forever. Amen. My eyes are ever torch the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.
